From the 9th to the 19th of April, Alenar joins València Cuina Oberta once again, the city’s most important gastronomic event, organized by the Fundació Visit València in collaboration with the Diputació de València, València Turisme and the Despensa del Mediterráneo project.
Throughout these ten days, more than 70 restaurants across Valencia offer specially designed menus that celebrate seasonal produce, the creativity of our chefs and the talent of a city that breathes gastronomy. If you are looking for somewhere to dine in Valencia city centre with the finest quality-to-price ratio, València Cuina Oberta is your essential spring appointment.
What is València Cuina Oberta?
València Cuina Oberta is an annual gastronomic festival held twice a year, in spring and autumn, since 2009. It was a pioneer in Spain, modeled on the Restaurant Weeks of New York or London, and has since established itself as the largest gastronomic event in the Comunitat Valenciana, with an estimated economic impact of €250,000 per edition.
The festival’s objective is clear: to promote the quality of Valencian cuisine, make it accessible to all budgets and invigorate consumption within the hospitality sector. Throughout the ten days of the event, the city’s finest restaurants create exclusive menus at fixed prices, allowing diners to enjoy high-level gastronomic offerings without sacrificing accessibility.
València Cuina Oberta forms part of the València, Despensa del Mediterráneo project, the city’s gastronomic strategy that celebrates local, seasonal and proximity produce from the huerta, the wetlands and the Mediterranean. For lovers of gastronomic events in Valencia, this is an unmissable occasion.
