At Alenar, we believe that food is a powerful tool for change. That is why, once again, we are renewing our commitment to Restaurantes contra el Hambre, the solidarity campaign led by the NGO Acción contra el Hambre that mobilizes thousands of hospitality venues across Spain every year.
From the 15th of September to the 15th of November, every visit to Alenar will also be an opportunity to contribute to a cause that affects us all. Because feeding those who need it most begins with decisions as simple as choosing where to eat.
What is the Restaurantes contra el Hambre campaign?
Restaurantes contra el Hambre is the largest solidarity movement in Spanish hospitality. Organized by Acción contra el Hambre, its aim is to raise funds to support the NGO’s programs for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of child malnutrition in the countries where it operates.
Since its inception, the campaign has brought together more than 12,000 participating establishments across Spain, making it one of the most impactful initiatives in the sector. The mechanism is straightforward: each restaurant selects a dish from its menu and donates a portion of its price to the cause. No intermediaries, no complications the money goes directly to those who need it most.

Alenar’s Solidarity Dish: €2 per dish, straight to Acción contra el Hambre
Throughout the two months of the campaign, Alenar selects a Solidarity Dish from its menu. Every time one of our customers enjoys this dish, €2 from the usual price is donated directly to Acción contra el Hambre’s programs fighting child malnutrition.
There is no additional cost to the customer: the price you pay is the same as always, and the donation is already included. It is our way of ensuring that every visit to Alenar has an impact that goes beyond the table.
